Forum Title: Help with Delta Shower Faucet!
I discovered I had a leak in my shower faucet. It's a delta. Has a handle of hot. Has a handle for cold. And a handle for the shower. I replaced the valve stem and the valve seat and spring on hot and cold water. The cold water seems to be fine, but the hot water still leaks. It'll be fine for a couple of turns and then it just does a continuous leak rather than the drip that was there. When installing the valve seat, the rubber piece will not sit flush. It pokes out a little bit. I'm not sure if that is the issue or if it's something else causing the leak to still be there. Any help in tihs matter would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!!!!

Make sure you use Delta brand replacement parts. Generic are usually much cheaper but they leak - so why would you want to use them. Also make sure you replaced the springs with the exact same type of spring, Delta has two different spring designs and it makes a difference.

Replace the cups and spring again. I always put a thin swipe of stem lube on the cups. Just enough to make them slide into the hole easy I use a small screw driver or allen wrench to slide the cups and springs into place. You might have pinched the cup or the spring got flipped tapered spring, large end goes in first. Small end of spring inside cup.
